With the approval of the Executive Board, Pastor Brad is working on the process for the appointment of Elders.  The basic process will begin with the nomination of elders by the congregation {likely in September}.  From these nominations the functioning elders or those approved by this team will discern the elder team.  Once discerned, this new elder team will be assembled for their acceptance of this appointment.  This elder team will be presented to the congregation for affirmation.  There will be several days set apart for their training after which the Elders will be officially empowered by congregation for this leadership ministry the beginning of 2024.  FEC Elder Dave Reimer will provide the oversight for this process.

The Nursery Project is a go!

New carpet and padding will be installed by Supreme Floor Company out of Hillsboro. Their quote, which includes removal of the old carpet and installation, was $1,732.00. We are looking at the end of September, early October, for installation. If you would like to support this project, please designate “nursery” so the funds will be allocated appropriately.

To date we have received $540.00.

Harvest Festival October 7

We will have plenty of ways, we as a church, can serve and be a part of this event. More information will be provided as it becomes available.

Praise the Lord

for the cooler temperatures for Country Threshing Days last weekend, and, most importantly, for all our volunteers! More than 70 people from ages five to in their nineties helped to prepare food, transport it, serve, and cashier in the food lines, clean tables, haul trash, clerk in the store, set up and clean up for the event and more. Threshing Days could not have happened without you! Thank you! ~The Mennonite Heritage & Agricultural Museum.
