Announcement

Bethesda Worship Service is today at 1:00 p.m.

Today, July 14, 2024 to continue the 150th celebrations there will be an opportunity to hear story telling from two women, Pauline Sharp, Kaw People and Annette Voth, Alexanderwohl People. Their stories told side by side present a unique perspective of the history of the Kaw and Alexanderwohl people. The event will be held at the Tabor Mennonite Church at 7:00 pm.

A huge event like Country Threshing Days takes a lot of effort! We know that many hands make work light. Bakers, servers, and cashiers are needed for the Low German meal at the Goessel Elementary School and food service in the Preparatory School on the museum grounds on Saturday, August 3. Please see the volunteer sheet in your church mailbox and respond by July 21. YOU really are needed! For questions, contact Aileen Esau at daesau@gmail.com or 620.386.4463

What was it like to travel from the home you knew across a vast ocean to start all over on a treeless prairie. The presentation on Friday, August 2, 2024, “From Russia to Kansas: A Story of the 1874 Mennonite Immigration” will help give some insight. The event will take place at the Goessel High School Auditorium on August 2, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. Benefit Event for the Mennonite Heritage & Agricultural Museum. Donations gratefully accepted.

Marion County Prayers for our Schools Night will be Wednesday, August 7 at 7:00 p.m. at Marion County school near you. Brad Penner is the local contact for Goessel.

Upcoming Events

  • August 2: Heritage Presentation at GHS Auditorium – 7:00 p.m.
  • August 2-4: Goessel Threshing Days
  • August 7: Marion County Prayers for our Schools Night – 7:00 p.m.
  • August 11: Bethesda Worship Service – 1:00 p.m.
